If more than one out of two French people owns a pet, our country is still the first in Europe to abandon them… Terrifying? We don’t tell you! 2022 will have been more than ever a dark year for dogs, cats and NACS cowardly neglected by their owners. To help abandoned dogs AgriaEuropean leader in pet insuranceis organizing a new solidarity march on the social networks. For each photo or video of your darling doggie, 5 euros will be donated per participant in the Périgueux SPA.
“The Agria Dog Walk”: mobilizing against abandonment
60,000 animals abandoned during the summer and 40,000 the other months of the year. 2022 will not have failed the rule of the sad European record held by France for many years. Departure on vacation, inflation, impulsive purchase of “fashionable dogs”… The causes of abandonment are multiple and the associated penalties (up to 3 years in prison and 45,000 euros in fines) don’t seem to be changing the numbers.
Organized simultaneously in the seven countries covered by Agria (France, Germany, United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden), “ The Agria Dog Walk (followed in November by “La Balade des Chats”) is a solidarity event on social networks. For each participation, a donation of 5 euros will be triggered by the insurance Agria for the benefit of Périgueux SPA.
